Vertikal Days Sees New Snorkel Material Lifts

Snorkel will debut its new line of material lifts at Vertikal Days 2017.

The global manufacturer of aerial work platforms is officially unveiling its brand-new material lift line to the UK market.

Split into two product families, the Snorkel material lift range includes three ‘MLC’ models designed for heavy-duty, construction applications, as well as three ‘MLM’ models featuring a shorter mast height and compact design. Robust and reliable, Snorkel material lifts are built to handle the demands of the rental industry, as well as construction jobsites.

On display on the Snorkel UK stand at the Vertikal Days will be the Snorkel ML18C material lift which is the mid-size model in the ‘MLC’ range. It features a 5.1m lift height with up to 318kg of load capacity at a 0.36m load center. The Snorkel ML18C material lift weighs 141kg and has compact stowed dimensions of 0.77m x 0.85m.

The Snorkel ‘MLC’ family includes three models. The Snorkel ML12C has 3.5m of lift height with up to 340kg of load capacity at a 0.36m load center, while the largest model, the Snorkel ML24C is capable of lifting up to 295kg at a 0.36m load center to a max lift height of 6.9m.

Snorkel ‘MLM’ material lifts feature a narrow design and ultra-compact reduced mast height to easily navigate through doorways and tight spaces, without requiring a tilt-back system, making them ideal for industrial and warehouse applications where loads are moved throughout a facility.

The Snorkel ML12M can lift up to 318kg at a 0.36m load center to a lift height of 3.3m. At the same load center, the Snorkel ML16M and Snorkel ML20M can lift loads of 295kg and 272kg to lift heights of 4.4m and 5.5m respectively.

Snorkel material lifts offer versatility, durability and best-in-class load capacity. With adjustable loading wheels and quick-fold stabilizer legs, they are easy to transport and offer fast and simple setup.

Featuring a dual-handle, shift-on-the-fly, two-speed winch for increased productivity when lifting loads, Snorkel material lifts are up to twice as fast as other material lifts on the market. A cable guard, and heavy-duty non-marking casters are fitted as standard. The lifts utilize heavy-gauge aluminium extrusions and construction-grade cast metal cable pulleys for a long-working life and maximum return on investment.

At Vertikal Days 2017, Snorkel UK will also show the popular Snorkel SL26SL Speed Level. The Snorkel Speed Level features a recently enhanced stowed drive speed of 6.4km/h. It can be driven at full working height, even on slopes, which increases efficiency by eliminating the need to elevate and lower the lift between tasks.

The large, 680kg high capacity platform can be automatically self-levelled with the touch of a button when working on rough terrain or compound slopes up to 9° front-to-back and 13° side-to-side.

The Snorkel Speed Level has a powerful Kubota diesel engine, four wheel drive, high grip all-terrain tyres, and can climb gradients of up to 50%, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, including parking garage construction and in tunnel construction and maintenance.

Snorkel will also display two electric slab scissor models. The Snorkel S3215E delivers a platform height of 4.6m from a 0.81m wide chassis and is fully rated for outdoor use with one person plus tools.

It benefits from a low weight of 1,238kg and a high lift capacity of 272kg. The Snorkel S4732E delivers 9.75m of platform height from a 1.19m wide chassis, and can lift up to 317kg. The Snorkel electric slab scissor lift family has been designed with a focus on the rental industry and include a number of innovative features that help lower total ownership costs.

Snorkel UK is also showcasing a number of Snorkel’s most popular lifts at the show, including the Snorkel TM12 telescopic mast lift with roll-out extension deck, the Snorkel A38E electric articulated boom lift, the Snorkel A46JRT rough terrain articulated boom lift, the S3010P push around scissor lift and the S3010E hydraulic drive scissor lift.

The Snorkel UK stand will also include the Snorkel S3370RT rough terrain scissor lift with a platform capacity of 450kg, as well as the Snorkel TL37J towable boom lift featuring a max working height of 12.9m and platform capacity of 215kg.
