Anderson invests £1.7million in JCB excavators

One of the UK’s leading construction and development companies has invested in a fleet of JCB tracked excavators in a deal worth £1.7million.

Chelmsford-based Anderson has bought a range of 14 to 22-tonne machines. The new JCB 140X, 160LC and 220X models will join a fleet of more than 50 JCB machines which also includes JCB Loadall telescopic handlers and 3CX Sitemaster backhoe loader models.

Supplied by dealer Greenshields JCB, the machines will be used to undertake groundworks on Anderson’s development sites as well as on major housebuilders’ sites across the South-East.

Darren Carter, Plant Hire Managing Director at Anderson, said: “The new Stage V models support our environmental commitments while the size range of excavators which JCB manufactures suits our applications. The new machines have performed very well since arriving.

“We have been a JCB customer for 30 years and run a large fleet of JCB excavators. The geographical area we work within is well served by the Greenshields JCB depots and we have a   good working relationship with the team.”

Anderson is a leading contractor to the development industry and a multi-disciplinary property developer in its own right. It was set up in 1987 and works across London, the East and the South-East of England.
