Customer demand drives new Kubota purchase for Tool Care Hire

Tool Care Hire, one of the largest independent plant hire firms in the South West, has expanded its extensive excavator fleet by investing in 28 new Kubota machines following a period of significant business growth.

With more than 30 years experience, the hire company purchased the 28 new Kubota machines from Chepstow Construction Equipment (CCE Plant Sales) Tiverton depot, made up of the Japanese manufacturer’s K008-3 and KX030-4 models. Tool Care Hire now boasts a fleet of more than 75 excavators across its four depots in Exeter, Exmouth, Torbay and Okehampton, ensuring construction businesses in the South West can reap the benefits of Kubota’s reliable and robust machinery.

The K008-3 is a super compact, efficient one tonne mini-excavator that offers enhanced digging performance for tough jobs where space is limited, whereas the KX030-4 is a three tonne excavator that not only offers power, but also the largest cab in its class, so operators can work comfortably for long periods.

Martin Phillips, Owner of Tool Care Hire, said: “With homes at the heart of the country’s coronavirus recovery, we have seen a surge in house building in the South West, which has a led to increased demand for construction equipment, particularly mini-excavators.

“All of the Kubota machines we’ve ordered are already back out on site and being put to work, highlighting just how booming the construction industry in the South West is currently, as well as the popularity of Kubota excavators.

“We’re thrilled to continue working with Kubota. Not only does the manufacturer supply market-leading machines that hold great residual value, but Chepstow Construction Equipment also provides excellent aftersales support; elements that are all vital to our business operations.”
