Challenging creative excavator operators

Excavator Hero is a recurring campaign for excavator operators. Behind the competition stands Rototilt who are challenging users to show off their tiltrotator skills in a video. The winner receives €10,000 (around £8,500) to spend on a product from Rototilt.

Through the Excavator Hero campaign, tiltrotator company Rototilt celebrate the work that machine operators do in their everyday life. Last year, Rototilt invited 12 of their customers to compete with a creative video, in which they show off their skills with their tiltrotator. The competition was a success, with over 20,000 voters and fans prompting Rototilt to keep the campaign going in 2022. 

“We were overwhelmed by the engagement in 2021”, says Jack Sklenar, Social Media Coordinator. “People really seemed to like the concept, and many have been asking about what we’re going to do next. We’re keeping the concept, but we want more people to have the opportunity to participate”.

During May, anyone using a Rototilt tiltrotator may send in their own creative video. The three finalists of Excavator Hero 2022 will be invited to visit Rototilts headquarters in Vindeln, Sweden in September. Additionally, the winner will receive a grand prize of 10,000 euros to spend on a Rototilt product. The winner of Excavator Hero 2021, Eoin O’Connor, will be joining Rototilt at Bauma later this year as part of last year’s prize.

“It was a great opportunity to showcase the skill in driving this machine and showcasing a bit of the work that we do. It was a great honor to win it,” Eoin says.
