Genie shares new equipment highlights at Vertikal Days 2021

As part of its presence at Vertikal Days, East of England Showground, Peterborough, Genie will be making a UK premiere on stand nr 206/306 on September 22-23, 2021, with a line-up including its ultra-efficient E-Drive GSTM-4046 slab and GS-1432m micro scissor lifts; eco-friendly Z-45 FE articulating boom lift; heavy-lifting S-65 Xtra CapacityTM (XCTM) telescopic boom lift; and a S-60 J telescopic boom lift, which delivers essential performance for nearly any everyday work-at-height task.

This year’s show will also offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the new Genie Lift ConnectTM Telematics offering and the brand’s latest productivity accessories and operator protective equipment.

For 55 years, Genie has been focused on delivering quality equipment, parts, accessories and service. Because it’s one thing to say that, and another to show it, Genie is excited to have the opportunity at Vertikal Days to showcase equipment that incorporates quality from the earliest stages of design. From simpler systems with fewer inspection points for maximum uptime and lower maintenance costs, to eco- friendly models that respond to the widespread need for low-emissions and zero-noise equipment, the products on display deliver reliable performance, a high return on investment and optimize cost of ownership.

GS E-Drive Scissor Lifts Reduce Costs, Improve Performance
The brushless, fully-sealed, maintenance-free AC Electric drive motors on the entire lineup of Genie GS slab scissor lifts withstand real-world conditions and are not susceptible to damage from jobsite conditions. E-Drive scissor lifts, including the GS-4046, deliver 30% more run time per battery charge while reducing maintenance costs by 35%.

The new Genie GS-1432m micro scissor lift, as well as the new GS-1932m micro scissor lift, also come equipped with E-Drive. Shorter and lighter than standard-sized scissor lifts, the GS-1432m and GS-

1932m can reach jobsites other scissor lifts can’t access. These lifts can fit in a standard-sized elevator and drive through doorways with their standard, fixed guardrails, making them a safe alternative to ladders and a more productive alternative to vertical mast lifts. And, with a 227 kg (500 lb) capacity and 0.81 m (32 in) wide platform and 0.6 m (2 ft) extension deck, the platform of the GS-1932m and GS- 1432m is roomy enough for two occupants, making these truly versatile options for nearly any work-at- height application up to 7.55 m (24 ft 2 in).

J Series Boom Lifts Lower Total Cost of Ownership Without Compromising on Performance or Reliability
Genie J Series telescopic boom lifts give operators everything they need for nearly any work-at-height task. An unrestricted platform capacity of 300 kg (660 lb) allows two occupants plus tools to gain full access at the top of the boom’s working envelope. Combined with a standard 1.8 m jib and oscillating axle for excellent 4WD traction, the Genie S-60 J and S-80 J boom lifts are an ideal choice for nearly any application, including general construction, maintenance, inspection and painting.

J Series booms lead their respective classes in length and capacity, and the optimized Genie J Series design keeps ground pressure low, allowing operators to work in more sensitive ground conditions. A simplified design delivers reliability and performance on the jobsite while reducing the time and expense of maintenance. Rental companies will appreciate the low total cost of ownership of the Genie J Series because the units are simple to maintain, and cost-effective to transport.

Hybrid FE Boom Lifts Offer Versatile Productivity for High Utilisation Rates and a Low Environmental Impact
Genie FE hybrid boom lifts are true 2-in-1 machines, combining the benefits of an all-electric boom and a diesel lift in a true hybrid machine. In all-electric mode, FE booms offer emission- and noise-free operation for 4×4 performance in areas with noise and zero-emissions restrictions, such as city centers or around schools or hospitals. In hybrid mode, operators get the benefits of an extra power boost from the diesel generator, which recharges batteries while in operation. This regenerative capability sets Genie FE hybrid lifts apart from other bi-energy equipment because, with FE, there is no downtime for recharging.

The versatility of a 2-in-1 hybrid unit means rental companies can increase their rental return on invested capital (rROIC) thanks to strong a rental rate and high utilisation. Reduced impact on the environment is an additional by-product of the hybrid power solution.

Genie FE booms also are equipped with a 24 hp Kubota engine, which is Stage V compliant without the need for aftertreatment.

Xtra Capacity (XC) Boom Lifts Deliver Reliable Performance for High-Capacity Applications
Offering an industry-leading dual lift capacity of 300 kg (660 lb) across the entire working range and 454 kg (1,000 lb) restricted, Genie XC boom lifts, including the S-65 XC, increase productivity for heavy-lifting applications by reducing the number of lift cycles and the amount of equipment needed to get tools and materials to aerial worksites. Genie offers XC boom lifts ranging from a max working height of 14.04 m to 43.15 m.

Lift Connect Telematics – Meet our Experts
The Genie Lift Connect solution is a telematics program that focuses on providing actionable information to monitor and manage aerial fleets. It has flexibility in how customers can access and leverage data, and it offers more transparency into understanding and utilizing the information than other offerings in the market. Now, any unit equipped with Lift Connect can be retrofitted to include Access ManagerTM, giving rental companies control over who can have access to machines. This improves security of equipment on the jobsite and gives rental companies the ability to remotely manage their fleet.
