Nixon Hire supporting essential services during coronavirus outbreak

Nixon Hire has been providing support to essential services, from power stations to Nightingale Hospitals, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MD Graham Nixon said: “The equipment Nixon Hire provides has been in demand to help establish the infrastructure needed to support those services on the frontline fighting this virus. Our products are being used to provide emergency accommodation and hygiene facilities in a range of vital sectors.

“The speed and professionalism of our teams has been incredible, they have worked so hard to meet the needs of essential service providers, to ensure these customers can focus on their main task, helping the nation beat COVID-19.

“This week alone, Nixon Hire have provided large scale set-ups for site accommodation and snoozepods to the health sector, energy sector and defence sector. Our snoozepods are being used to provide self-contained facilities so that employees can comfortably remain on site whenever necessary, further reducing the risk of infection to themselves and others. Our site accommodation is being used for a range of purposes to assist with social distancing where essential work still has to continue. This includes testing stations, off-site office space, storage and additional hygiene and welfare facilities such as toilets and canteens.

“We have taken stringent measures throughout the Depot Network to ensure that we adhere to Government Guidance for minimising the risk of infection and continue to prioritise the health and well-being of our teams.

“We are extremely proud to have been able to continue to be part of the nationwide effort and we are grateful to each and every member of staff for their hard work and dedication in what have been exceptionally challenging circumstances.”
