Parts for Machines sets its sights on accelerating future plans after successful launch

Recently launched e-Commerce agriculture and plant aftermarket portal, Parts For Machines, has experienced a strong positive reaction to its market debut – and a rapid growth in sales – since going public at the end of January.

Partsformachines.com – the one-stop-shop concept for spare parts and accessories for plant machinery in the construction industry and for farming machinery – is the result of more than two years of meticulous planning and implementation which means that customers are able to order top quality branded products, at very competitive prices, delivered directly to their door from source. These cover most aspects of construction and agricultural machinery (and indeed, many other types of vehicles related to these industries) whether that be service, repair or routine maintenance.

“Response to our launch has been excellent and we have easily beaten all of our post-launch targets,” enthused Parts For Machine’s Press Officer, Simon Maurice. “We have proved to ourselves that our business model works, and, if anything, we have underestimated our potential – which, in two multi-billion-pound industry sectors, is a very exciting prospect. Therefore, we are already looking to accelerate the next phase of our operations.”

The customer experience – and the ease of use for those in the relevant industries – is still the fundamental USP of the Partsformachines.com offer and is something the whole team is still continually working to fine tune. However, a key element in Parts for Machines’ appeal to its customers, and to the industry as a whole, is the interaction with known and trusted brands.

One of the first companies into the Parts For Machines fold was GS YUASA, with its Original Equipment-quality Yuasa YBX batteries, the UK’s market leading vehicle range. “GS Yuasa is delighted to be the official battery supplier to the Parts for Machines e-Commerce Platform with our market leading Yuasa YBX battery range,” explains Jonathan Wrigley, GS Yuasa’s National Accounts Manager.“We have been working closely with them to launch this new venture – not only to provide the most comprehensive, and high-quality battery offer available, but also to enable direct battery delivery straight to the end user.”

Other household names – such as Philips and legendary lubricants brand Gulf Oil, together with leading specialist brands in the industries concerned, have also signed up as supplier partners – one such being ground engaging tools experts, BYG.

“BYG is genuinely delighted to be a supplier-partner to this exciting new enterprise,” comments BYG’s Head of Marketing. “As a company that has been at the forefront of supplying replacement parts for construction, earthmoving and public works machinery for more than 50 years, we are very excited by this potentially game-changing route to market.  We are constantly innovating in our sector and therefore the opportunity of working with Parts for Machines, who are pioneering an innovative approach to supplying replacement parts to the industry we serve, seems like a good fit for us.”

Other specialist brands include Astrak undercarriage parts, Top Gear consumables, and SIP workshop equipment. Parts for Machines partners are not limited to its suppliers, however, as it has set out, from the beginning to deliver trusted brands for its support functions, including UPS, Barclays, Amazon Web Services, Xero, Stripe and TransferWise.

The search for further supplier partners continued throughout the build up to its launch and has gathered momentum since the ground-breaking e-commerce platform went public. Parts for Machines is now close to signing several other new supplier partners of the same calibre as those it launched with, in order to allow more of the Parts For Machines inventory to be delivered direct to customers from source.
