GAP Hire Solutions has now added ex-event hire fencing panels, pedestrian barrier sets and chemical toilets to their online sales store

Last year, GAP launched the e-commerce site to enable customers to buy brand-new temporary fencing, crowd control barriers and ancillary items such as fence blocks and clips directly from any one of the Group’s 14 Non-Mechanical depots for delivery throughout the UK.

Karen Greenshields, GAP’s Director of Welfare, Non-Mechanical & Event Services, explained: “With the end of summer fast approaching, we are delighted to offer a range of high-quality, ex-hire event stock at reduced prices. Our expanded online product range is tailored for end-use sectors including housebuilders, local authorities, demolition companies, waste management and events.

Continual reinvestment in its core fleet to support GAP’s award-winning Event Services division ensures that the company has one of the newest and most modern fleets in the industry. This means that GAP Sales Solutions can facilitate any requirement from small local events including nightclubs and other busy venues looking to help organise and control entrance and exit, to the largest of sports, music or mass participation events.

Karen continued: “Due to the strategic locations of our UK-wide depot network, customers can not only take advantage of our competitive pricing due to GAP’s purchasing power but can also benefit from reduced delivery costs. Additionally, all depots have HIAB vehicles which are designed to maximise loads and provide efficiency. These vehicles eliminate the need for a forklift so we can deliver large volumes of equipment to suitable locations on our customers sites.”

The sales website allows the general public and those businesses who do not have an account with GAP to deal with them. The PayPal platform utilised on the website enables GAP to accept most forms of payment, including all major credit and debit cards.

Iain Anderson, GAP’s Joint Managing Director, added: “We like to consider ourselves flexible in our thinking. We are always keen to listen to our customers and try new approaches when necessary. The resale of hire equipment is a growing market and as one of the UK’s largest stockists of steel pedestrian, safety and crowd control barriers, as well as chemical toilets, it is a market we believe GAP is well placed to serve.”
