One of the UK’s leading powered access specialists, AFI group of companies are taking delivery of 15 Montracon CAT 2 compliant HGV trailers to enhance their dedicated MEWP delivery fleet especially their Super-set range of large machines.
AFI continue to invest heavily in a rolling programme to provide their own in-house transport fleet so that they can take full responsibility and control of every aspect of the delivery process for their powered access fleet throughout their UK depot network to ensure machines are delivered quickly and collected promptly.
The Montracon trailers come with the highest specification and safety features, including fall arrests systems, rear-wheel steer, powered goose neck ramp, deck lights and main ramps that close fully together for ease of loading/unloading.
Nick Higgins, Chief Operating Officer, AFI said: “We have expanded the capability of the fleet with these investments to meet increased customer demand for our range of MEWPs including Electric and Diesel Scissor Lifts, Diesel Articulating Boom Lifts and Diesel Straight Stick Boom Lifts. The new trailers will begin to arrive week commencing 13th September and run through until April 2022. By that time, all AFI trailers will be CAT2 compliant meaning the majority of AFI’s depots will be able to transport Super-Set equipment. This will increase service levels and flexibility to our customers across the entire UK.”
The AFI team at depots across the UK will provide friendly and professional advice and support during every step of a hire, from site surveys, placing an order, and updating customers on delivery, off-hire and collection.
