Mobile Mini UK has introduced an upgraded water bowser solution to its product offering, after identifying a need to improve methods of keeping water sources securely stored.
Mobile Mini Aqua Pods are encased in steel, designed with security in mind and built in conjunction with integrated facilities, making them safer and more robust than traditional exposed plastic water bowsers. This is the ideal solution for sites with no access to mains feed water and due to their compact size (1350 x 1350 x 1750) can be placed in various locations on sites wherever an electrical feed allows.
Each pod is fully enclosed and capable of 1,000 litres of water storage. This limits the risk of accidental damage, vandalism or performance-related breakdown. They also feature insulated doors, walls, ceilings and pipework, protection against intense sunlight and anti-frost heaters to prevent freezing in extreme weather conditions.
Chris Tyrer, Head of Product and Technical at Mobile Mini UK, said “We have maintained our long-standing reputation as a partner of choice by regularly asking customers out-of-the-box questions, like how do you securely store your water source? Identifying a common need through these conversations is always the first step in our ability to provide improved solutions.
“Mobile Mini Aqua Pods are a great addition to our ever-increasing Value Added Products and Services family. So far, 15 units have been added to our fleet, shared across London, East Midlands and North West branches. This will allow select clients to trial Aqua Pods as a solution, feedback to us their thoughts and play an integral role in any required modifications before a full UK launch takes place later this year.
“We are working with customers to outline every action required from pre-delivery to post-collection so that the process of hiring one of these advanced units is as smooth as any other available solution, but with the added benefit of even higher performance and peace of mind.”
Pre-Delivery, all water connection joints are checked to ensure they are fully secure with no leaks or dripping. All units must contain an up-to-date electrical test certificate and have all keys present. No water is placed in the IBC tank prior to delivery and this is both removed and thoroughly cleaned by jet washing and sterilising before each hire.
Mobile Mini Aqua Pods are the latest solution to be added to the extensive Mobile Mini Plus range, which already includes but is not limited to fences, tower lights, generators, modular buildings, toilets, showers and more. The first batch of Aqua Pod trials has already begun at a number of existing customers, including Ground Developments, Linear Construction, Luddon Construction, Caddick Construction and Robertson Civil Engineering.
Ron Bathgate is Site Supervisor at Robertson Civil Engineering, on the recent trial he said, “I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Aqua Pod supplied by Mobile Mini. This is an excellent addition to the range of site accommodation equipment, convenient to set up and housing everything in a single unit. This will be excellent for remote sites, especially in winter when there is a chance of frost. Thank you for your expertise and assistance with a wide range of products.”
