‘The Knee Musketeers’ – MHM Plant ready to pound the pavements for charity

A super-fit trio from the equipment re-hire specialists MHM Plant have stepped up their training routines and are getting ready to compete in the forthcoming Cardiff Half Marathon 2019, which takes place on 6th October 2019.

The three keen runners comprise of; Megan Rand (Sales & Marketing Executive), Bethan Jones (Hire Desk & Office Manager) along with Liam Pullen from the firm’s workshop.

Megan Rand explained their motivations for entering this event, “None of us have ever competed in any marathons before!! We’ve completed some smaller 10km runs, so this is a real big challenge for us! However, we really want to do MHM proud and we are taking our training very seriously, we hope to finish in a decent time and hopefully we will have raised enough money to reach our target of £600.

All the donations and sponsorship they receive will be handed to their chosen charity – Cardiff’s Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital. The money will be used to provide critical children’s services and to purchase vital medical equipment including the installation of facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool.

Megan added, “We hope by reaching our target we can contribute to making a real difference to the 73,000 vulnerable babies and children in Wales each year that need specialist and often life-saving treatment at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital.”

The trio have set up a Just Giving page which can be accessed here and for more information about the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital visit their website. Any size of contribution is welcomed.

Megan, Bethan and Liam are all based at MHM Plant’s head office in Port Talbot, South Wales. The company supplies power generation, solar-hybrid-generators, fuel storage, lighting towers, engine drive welders and product related accessories to the UK and Irish rental markets, for both hire and purchase.
