Family run Gloucester-based Ellis Crane Hire Ltd is about to take delivery of its third Liebherr mobile crane, an LTM 1090-4.2.
The LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane combines mobility, performance and economy at the highest level and with ECOdrive and ECOmode, the operation of the LTM 1090-4.2 is extremely environmentally friendly with low fuel consumption and low noise. The high specification crane is also equipped with a double fly jib, VarioBallast® and VarioBase®, Liebherr’s unique system that is particularly effective for lifting operations in locations where space is restricted.
The crane formed part of the line up on the Liebherr stand at this year’s Vertikal Days where the official handover took place with managing director Simon Ellis, who said of his latest purchase from Liebherr: ‘This is the third Liebherr machine to join our fleet, we have been very impressed with the technological advancements that Liebherr provide, in particular the VarioBase® outrigger system. This, coupled with its 60m boom, complete ballast, narrow carrier and the S.L.I. that includes 4 pre-set maximum wind speeds to the load charts, to allow the crane to operate in higher wind speeds than normal, give us a great all round machine, adaptable to a multitude of operations’
