Another new company to experience the productivity of the Isuzu truck range for the first time is Hertfordshire-based John Anderson Hire, who provide event toilet hire, including VIP and executive toilets.
From its base in St Albans, John Anderson Hire has recently taken delivery of its first two Isuzu N65.150 LWB rigids, which are being used to distribute portable toilets to major events predominantly in the south-east of England.
The Isuzu 6.5 tonne rigids are a perfect fit for the company’s toilet hire operation as the main drawbar body of the rigid is used for carrying the maximum number of single toilet units, whilst the Isuzu can then also tow any of the company’s larger multiple-cubicle units, therefore reducing the number of site visits necessary.
“The new Isuzus allow us to deliver to our customers far more economically and efficiently, in terms of the number of portable toilets that can be delivered to site by any one driver. We are really pleased with the overall performance of the Isuzus since they joined the fleet and we will look to run them for between three and five years,” said David Callé, general manager, John Anderson Hire.
Both the Isuzu rigids have been specified with dropside bodies and were supplied by local dealer Arlesey Car & Commercials.
John Anderson Hire is one of the largest UK suppliers of specialist trailer mounted luxury loos, rental toilets, mains connected toilets and portable toilets including single units. They offer a wide range of luxury loos, standard toilets and portable toilets for hire, which includes toilet units, both self-contained and mains connected, shower units, portable offices and other ancillary sanitation equipment.
Operating from two depots, just north and south of London, the company’s toilet hire service covers a large proportion of the South East of England within an 80-mile radius of St Albans.
“John Anderson Hire runs such a specialist toilet hire fleet and the Isuzu 6.5 tonne rigid is the ideal truck for their delivery and collection journeys, as it provides a serious towing capability as well as maximum utilisation of the truck’s dropside body,” said Tony Long, network business manager, Isuzu Truck UK.
