SANY’s new range of telehandlers

SANY’s new range of telehandlers is part of the company’s strategic move to further expand its footprint in UK and Ireland while delivering machine solutions to meet the evolving needs of the construction sector. CPN runs the rule over the new machines.

Designed to deliver unparalleled performance, comfort, and safety, SANY’s new telehandlers are claimed to offer a comprehensive solution for material handling tasks across a wide range of applications. Whether it’s lifting heavy loads or efficiently manoeuvring materials on construction sites,  the machines are engineered to perform in diverse working environments.

The first two machines to launch in the series are the STH1440 (14m) and STH1840 (18m) models with a 7m variant planned for release later this year.

Equipped with an efficient Stage V 55kW/74hp Deutz engine, these machines are designed to maximise the return on investment. The engine is free of after treatment and greatly reduces maintenance and running costs. The engine stop/start technology also reduces fuel consumption and the time to the next service  has set intervals at 500 hours to minimise operating costs.

Productivity is maximised by the three selectable steering modes (two-wheel, four-wheel and crab) offering greater manoeuvrability and with a variety of attachments such as hydraulic fork positioners and configurations available operators are able to tackle a versatile range of tasks with ease and efficiency.

Operator comfort
SANY says that the telehandlers are well equipped to allow operators to work in optimum conditions whatever the requirements of the job. The ROPS/FOPS cab of the telehandler series has been designed in Germany and provides maximum comfort due to numerous standard features such as the 10in touchscreen display with encoder control and intuitive user navigation. The adjustable suspension seat provides a more comfortable ride and the inclinable and telescopic steering column allows the operator to make adjustments to find the perfect operating position. Other standard features include proportional single lever control with auto rpm, air-conditioning, radio with Bluetooth and USB connector, heated rear screen, sunblind, storage compartments and cup and bottle holders.

Enhanced safety features are already included ex-works on both models in the new range. A load management system monitors the load of the machine to prevent instability and when carrying loads will limit speeds for safety and improved load retention. Also included is a reversing camera with distance sensor, which is automatically activated when the reverse gear is engaged, a safety switch that prevents any vehicle movement when the operator is not seated, as well as hose burst safety check valves fitted on all lift cylinders stopping collapse in the event of a failure or damage, the option of screen and roof guards are also available to protect the cabin glass.

New benchmarks
Commenting on the launch, Phil Boddy, European telehandler product manager at SANY said: “We are thrilled to introduce our range of telehandlers to the UK market, representing a significant milestone in SANY’s expansion strategy. With our unwavering commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, we are confident that SANY telehandlers will set new benchmarks for performance, safety and operator comfort, empowering our customers to achieve greater success in their operations.”

The telehandlers are now available to purchase through its network of dealer partners across the UK and Ireland, providing customers with  access to sales, service, and support.

All SANY telehandlers are registered and protected with the CESAR Datatag Scheme and CESAR ECV for quick and easy verification of emissions category and they also come with a 3-year / 3000-hour warranty for complete peace of mind.
