Double Boost From Finlay Plant SW

Gower Plant Hire is boosting business at the double with the introduction of two new Terex Finlay C-1540 cone crushers.

Supplied by Finlay Plant SW, the high-performance plant are powering through aggregate at the company’s Garn Bica Quarry in Porthyrhyd, Carmarthen. Gower Plant Hire quarry manager, Mark Jones

Mark Jones, quarry manager at Gower Plant Hire, said: “I believe that the Terex Finlay C1540’s are the market’s best crushers to cope with the applications I’m processing.” Offering large reduction ratios and a high output capacity, the Terex Finlay C-1540 is the ideal machine for medium-sized producers and crushing operators.

Furthering its efficiency and productivity, the plant features the proven Terex 1000 cone crusher, which is choke fed with an integrated level sensor, automatic tramp relief and hydraulic closed side setting adjustment.

To protect the cone, the feed belt is fitted with an automated metal detection and purge system, which minimises downtime by removing metal contaminants via the purge chute.

The reduced length of the new Terex C-1540 is ideal for crushing in a system where the oversize material is recirculated to the crusher.

And with rapid set-up time, the machine boasts a galvanised walkway for ease of maintenance, as well as an advanced electronic control system. Mark added: “I’ve been extremely pleased with the reliability and powerhouse performance of them. The accessibility of the Terex Finlay C-1540 is also an added benefit.”

Gareth Johnson, managing director of Finlay Plant SW, said: “The machines are delivering considerable value to Gower Plant Hire. Their capabilities of coping with the material that’s being put through is extraordinary and the shorter model is great for when they’re recirculating the oversize.”
