Irish crane company O’Carroll Haulage & Crane Hire has taken delivery of its first Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane. The company wishes to better meet the requirements of its existing customers and attract new customers with this addition to its fleet.
The handover of the company’s first MK 140 took place on the crane manufacturer’s premises. Maurice O’Carroll travelled over from the Emerald Isle to Biberach an der Riss in Southern Germany for the handover and also received an introduction to the machine on site. “I’m impressed by both the design and its performance,” says Maurice. He wants to be better equipped to meet the needs of his customers and, if possible, attract new customers at the same time. As the MK 140 is the first in Limerick, he can see plenty of opportunities here.
The Liebherr MK 140 mobile construction crane combines two crane systems: the taxi crane can be operated in luffing mode as well as in trolley mode and is also compact, powerful and flexible. In luffing mode, it reaches an impressive hook height of 94.4 metres. “It’s a very welcome addition to my fleet,” says Maurice.
The Irish crane company O’Carroll Haulage & Crane Hire has made a name for itself over the last 20 years in the crane and special transport industry. The small family business has mobile cranes of various types and sizes in its fleet, including several mobile cranes from Liebherr. O’Carroll Haulage & Crane Hire has had positive experiences with Liebherr’s customer services in the past and now wants to fill a gap in its provision with the MK 140 mobile construction crane.
