Gorrel Equipment Solutions, part of the Walters Group, has made the largest purchase in the company’s history placing orders for £10M of new equipment to meet continued client demand. As the leading UK plant rental provider this multi million pound investment will see the Gorrel fleet size increase by 15%.
Orders have been placed with leading OEM’s such as Volvo, Caterpillar and Sennebogen through their respective UK Dealer networks and the new equipment will cover a variety of industry sectors such as timber handling, waste, port services as well as aggregate and quarry services.
Nigel Chilcott, General Manager, said: “Even during these very difficult economic times Gorrel are committed to improving our fleet profile whilst offering an ever increasing range of plant to meet our customers varied demands. This investment will also ensure that all our equipment conforms to the latest European standards on emissions and safety”.
“We are looking forward to receiving the first tranche of equipment in February 2021 which will range from Caterpillar 908 shovels, that will operate in ship holds, to Volvo L180H HL Log Handlers. We are also excited to be purchasing our first Sennebogen Log Handling “Pick & Carry” machines and also arriving shortly will be the Volvo L50H to L120H and Caterpillar 926H to 950H loading shovels in various aggregate and waste rehandling configurations.”
As a major supplier of equipment into such a diverse range of industries the arrival of this
new and varied plant will allow further expansion from our Head Quarters [site] in Avonmouth. This new purpose built facility has over 3 acres of maintenance and storage space to ensure Gorrel continue to offer the most innovative and efficient plant rental and hire options.
