A leading supplier of temporary power and lighting solutions has bought 60 JCB generators in a deal totalling more than £750k.
Purchased by South-West-based Progen Power, many of the new gensets powered into pole position at the recent F1 British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone – where the circuit switched off from the grid for the 3-day event and was powered solely by the JCB generators.
Supplied by dealer Watling JCB, the order comprises JCB’s compact 18-220kva range through to larger scale rental specification generators up to 500kva. The new models will be used for a wide range of temporary power applications spanning from domestic power cuts through to emergency power back-up for major commercial businesses. The JCB generators will also be take centre stage at several high-profile music events and further sporting highlights across the UK.
