Essex-based Templant Hire has invested £3.8 million in sustainable power generation technologies, enhancing its fleet with advanced Stage V generators and battery energy storage systems. Operations director Chris Allen explains: “Our investment in these advanced technologies has not only expanded our fleet but also aligned with our mission to lead the industry in sustainable power solutions.
“By integrating Stage V generators and battery energy storage systems, we’re offering our clients greener, more efficient options that significantly cut fuel use and emissions.”
The Stage V generators deliver a 96% reduction in emissions compared to the older Stage IIIA models, offering a greener alternative without compromising performance. Complementing these are the battery energy storage systems, which cut generator run times and fuel consumption by 50-65% on sites, significantly reducing operational costs and environmental impact.
So far, £2.2 million worth of equipment has been delivered, with a further £1.6 million expected to arrive in the coming months. This major investment reinforces Templant Hire’s dedication to staying ahead in the emergency power industry while helping its clients reduce their carbon footprints.
