Instant Tool & Plant Hire have invested in a duo of trailer mounted boom lifts from Snorkel for their hire fleet.
The high specification Snorkel TL37J and TL49J towable booms are both bi-energy powered and are equipped with Snorkel’s optional friction drive system for easier movement when unhitched from a vehicle. The units are the first Snorkel products to be purchased by Instant Tool & Plant Hire, and were handed over in early October by Snorkel UK sales representative, Scott Holtby.
Established in late 2019, Instant Tool & Plant Hire was founded by husband and wife team Andy and Joanne Macartney to address the challenges of out-of-hours access to hire equipment and technical support. Their innovative approach sees the business open seven-days-a-week, and also provides its customers with a 24-hour support hotline. Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Instant Tool & Plant Hire offers fast delivery of building, access and landscaping equipment to homeowners and businesses across Staffordshire, Cheshire and the surrounding areas.
Manufactured at Snorkel’s U.K. facility in Washington, Tyne & Wear, the TL37J and TL49J feature a heavy-duty, steel construction which is ideal for the hire sector. The Snorkel TL37J can reach a maximum working height of 12.9m, and is capable of lifting 215kg. It is equipped with hydraulic outriggers for easy set up, and benefits from a 1.3m jib boom 160° platform rotation for maximum manoeuvrability at height. The larger TL49J can lift a maximum capacity of 200kg to a working height of up to 16.7m. An articulating/telescopic boom design ensures compact towing dimensions, while delivering a maximum outreach of up to 8.5m when extended.
