HAKI has launched the second in a series of industry-focused eBooks, to help contractors and end clients understand how HAKI’s unique modular systems can safely overcome common challenges faced in specific project environments.
Following the successful launch of the offshore eBook in February 2019, the second eBook concentrates on temporary access solutions for infrastructure projects. It is loaded with useful facts, videos, and project case studies; demonstrating how HAKI works with customers to bring new levels of safety and productivity to the sector.
Focusing on three main areas, the eBook addresses common challenges faced in the infrastructure industry:
Safe access and egress for excavations and bridge maintenance
The eBook highlights how contractors can significantly reduce the risk of falls from height when using HAKI for infrastructure projects.
As the strongest on the market, the HAKI Stair Tower has been commended by industry-bodies worldwide for providing safer access and egress – using collective fall protection, flush landings, and non-slip treads.
Bridge maintenance is also simpler using HAKISPAN – a complete lacing, bracing and decking system, that allows quick but safe suspended and bridged access.
The eBook also explains how HAKI is committed to delivering safer projects through skilled training, on-site support, engineering services, and virtual design tools.
Reducing risk to public safety
With public safety at the heart of the designs, the HAKI Public Access Stair (PAS) and Bridge System (HBS) are well-equipped to handle high volumes of footfall. Each has up to 7.5kN/m2 loading capacity, so are perfect for access and temporary footbridges in busy public spaces such as railways, roads, and rivers.
Further benefits of these products, along with HAKI’s cladding system, are provided in the eBook.
Minimizing possession time and project programmes
Finally, the eBook addresses how sites can be reopened to the public quickly, by working with HAKI.
HAKI solutions consider roll-out and crane methods of erection, so possession times can be significantly reduced, with structures being built-ahead and then positioned afterward. The ease of prefabricated ‘hook-on’ components also reduces time to erect temporary access solutions, boosting productivity and cutting labor costs.
Smooth operations are also guaranteed from the outset, with HAKI’s innovative design and BIM tools cutting lead times for designs, whilst maximizing the accuracy of output. Technical on-site support is then available to ensure structures are erected safely, correctly and promptly.
