Algeco, Europe’s leading modular building solutions brand, has announced a new partnership with ABird/Apex Power Solutions that offers customers smarter, greener generator solutions with HVO, hybrid and conventional fuel options.
Working with ABird-Apex Power Solutions, part of the HSS Hire Group, Algeco customers will have access to power solutions for small, through to the largest sites, with generator sizes ranging from 10kva to 1260kva. Advanced telemetry on the range provides customers with accurate real time data reporting/fuel management and GPS Location Data.
The market leading proposition will mean that in most cases customers will be able to get a quote from Algeco for their power and fuel at the same time as their site accommodation.
Having concluded a full and thorough tender process, the new offering meets the rigorous sustainability criteria set out by Algeco. The new generator range will allow Algeco to support their customer base with the most efficient/cost effective temporary power solution by tailoring it to their exact requirements.
The new generators utilise telemetry to help customers understand how it is positively impacting their fuel consumption and overall value for money. This real-time data is used to plan fuel deliveries, bringing supplies to site exactly when it’s needed, removing the responsibility from the customer and creating a seamless automated process .
Working closely in partnership with ABird-Apex Power Solutions, Algeco hire customers are also confident of choosing the right sized generator package because smart telemetry is used to identify whether it is under or oversized. Where this is the case, Algeco will offer customers an alternative, ensuring optimal fuel efficiency. Additional telemetry benefits include fault diagnostics and preventative maintenance alerts.
Complementing the range of generators, Algeco now offers two Hybrid Battery Storage Unit (SBU) options from Green Power Hire and Power Saving Solutions (45kWh & 75kWh options) These hybrid versions enable sites to utilise them in a number of ways. For example, they can be used throughout the night for near silent operation when near residential communities. Alternatively, they can be set up on a loop to takeover automatically when it reaches full recharge.
The hybrid generators deliver significant reductions in emissions, whilst helping customers reduce their fuel consumption by as much as 40-50%.
The new range will complement the existing Algeco generator offer for hire, providing customers with greater choice in terms of sustainability and energy saving features, along with the value and service they have come to expect.
Graeme Maxwell, UK Sales Director at ABird-Apex Power Solutions, said: “We are delighted that the new generator range provides Algeco customers with one of the most efficient, environmentally friendly and smartest temporary power solution currently available. There has been a significant amount of work to build this relationship and this now means Algeco can provide quotes to customers quickly, and coupled with our remote fleet management system, it will mean they receive generator packages that are exactly right for them and with considerably less hassle.”
He added: “We are confident that the demonstratable fuel savings achieved with ABird-Apex temporary generator/battery storage unit packages will be an important part of helping construction sites reduce their CO2 emissions and carbon footprints to align with their Net Carbon Zero strategies.”
Tom Allen, Head of Product Development at Algeco UK Hire, said: “Building a sustainable future is at the core of what the Algeco team is doing. That’s why offering more environmentally-friendly generators and helping customers reduce their C02 emissions is a priority for us. We have worked with ABird-Apex in the past, but this continued partnership, through our new generators, helps us push forward in the right direction, whilst still delivering high quality products and services. I’m particularly pleased that in our new arrangement, more of our customers will benefit from the latest technology and hybrid solutions.”
