Hampshire based plant and machinery dealers BPMS has produced the world’s first pink Avant 635 compact wheeled loader
The machine will be the focal point of a fund raising charity campaign for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support and will be on display at all the local shows that BPMS will be attending this summer. In addition, at each show, the company will be holding raffles in which visitors to the BPMS stand will be able to win an exact replica scale model of the pink Avant 635.
When the pink machines tour of the local shows is complete around the end of September, it will be sold to the highest bidder in November, with all proceeds from the sale of the machine and the replica models being split between these two very worthy charities.
BPMS are also setting up a Pink & Tough page on their own website, which will be dedicated to the pink Avant 635. Through this page people will be able to register their interest in the machine and to place a bid for it online.
In addition to this, the company will also be running a campaign on Facebook and Twitter using the slogan #pinkandtough
The machine made its first public debut recently at the Royal Isle Of Wight County Show, but you can catch up with this special compact loader at the following events:
- Ellingham and Ringwood Show – Saturday 12th August
- Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show – Wednesday 16th August
- Edenbridge and Oxted Agricultural Show – Sunday 27th August and Monday 28th August
- Alresford Show – Saturday 2nd September
- Romsey Show – Saturday 9th September
- Royal Country Berkshire Show – Saturday 16th September and Sunday 17th September
- Wiltshire Game and Country Show – Saturday 23rd September and Sunday 24th September
Commenting on this charity fundraising initiative BPMS Directors Claire Smith and Sam Edwards said: “We have all been touched by cancer in some way and we wanted to raise money for both of these very worthwhile charities in our own special way, by producing this amazing pink Avant!”
Under its stunning pink plumage the machine features all the benefits of a standard Finnish built Avant 635 model. Powered by the well proven 37.5hp Kubota engine, the machine has a lift capacity of 1100kgs and a maximum lift height 2.8m, with a top speed of 14km/h.
Terminal illness and cancer affects all of us at some point in our lives, but fundraising for these charities can and does make a real difference to people’s lives. BPMS are hoping to make a real difference to somebody’s life with this pink machine campaign, which we are confident you will all get behind.
