Mid Ulster Auctions will be holding a £2m fleet renewal sale for CP Dynes in June
Mid Ulster Auctions (MUA), a family owned and operated company headquartered in Northern Ireland, is expanding its services further into the GB market after being appointed by CP Dynes, a leading groundworks and drainage specialist, based in Chelmsford, to manage a multi-million pound fleet renewal sale.
It represents a significant growth opportunity for the Magherafelt company and will be the first auction it has facilitated for goods headquartered in GB throughout its 25-year history. MUA will manage the sale of a catalogue of 116 lots valued at over £2 million in the online-only public auction, which is due to take place on Saturday, June 6 at 10am. Originally scheduled as an on-site auction, the sale has been updated to a live online hybrid auction due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines.
As part of its latest sale, a large selection of construction plant and machinery is due to go under the hammer. Featured lots include Volvo A25E 25 tonnes articulated dump trucks, a 2017 registered JCB Hydradig rubber wheeled excavator, the recently launched JCB 220XLC 22 tonnes tracked excavator and a large selection of 21-35 tonnes excavators, including Hitachi and Komatsu models. The public auction, which is open for online bidding, also features a selection of loaders, site dumpers and two Bergmann 3012R 12 tonnes articulated swivel skip dump trucks.
“The upcoming fleet renewal sale represents our first live online hybrid auction as we focus our efforts to expand our services in new high-growth markets,” says MUA Director Noel Lennon. We’re anticipating significant interest for the extensive catalogue of quality heavy plant and construction machinery.” The sale, Noel says, marks an exciting chapter for the business as it extends its services throughout the UK & Ireland for new and existing clients.
“Over the past two decades MUA’s professional and personal approach to customer relationships has supported many of our partners to maximise the value of their assets as their businesses grow. As we expand in the GB market, we look forward to continuing this support and offering a tailored service to new, prospective clients. MUA’s expertise in the industry delivers results for our clients, but another important factor in the success of the growing and diverse business is its people. It’s a privilege to share these successes with family, friends and our many committed colleagues who are the cornerstone of the business and embracing of the new opportunities ahead.”
Viewing for the CP Dynes fleet renewal auction is by appointment only in line with social distancing guidelines.

In recent years it has managed highly successful auctions at the instruction of clients, including Lough Swilly Bus Company, Limavady Gear, Linton & Robinson, Asset Co., MAC Rental, Millar Savoury Foods and Alexander Tractors, to name a few.
In 2009, MUA was the first auction house in Ireland to offer a fully comprehensive live online bidding service for international buyers across all of its auctions, including light commercial vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, plant and machinery and more. Notably, in 2016, it managed a record-setting 16-hour auction for McGrath Engineering.
