Fairfax fleet hits a milestone 1000 machines

Yorkshire based Plant Hire firm Fairfax Plant Hire have reached another major milestone in their development with the announcement of machine number 1000 in their growing hire fleet.

The company which is now one of the largest employers in the Selby area was started over thirty years ago by MD Ken Love. Ken and Finance Director Carolyn Love have seen the small acorn of a single dumper and excavator grow under the guidance of sons Matthew and Mark into one of the largest supplier of plant into the construction, industrial and civil engineering sectors in the North of England and East Midlands.

Over the past two years Fairfax have moved their main depot to a four acre site in Selby and opened a very successful new depot into the very competitive hire market in Leeds.

Director Mark Love said “We are delighted to achieve another step in our goal to become the biggest and best plant hire company in the North and Midlands”. “One of our great strengths is the quality of our plant and our relationship with major plant suppliers such as Case, CAT, Kubota, Hitachi, Volvo, Komatsu, Bomag, Thwaites and JCB”.

Fellow Director Matthew Love added “One of the main benefits of hiring from a family business is the dedication of our loyal workforce including some with over 25 years of service”. “Our customers put a lot of trust in Fairfax which has been earned by our hard work and excellent service”.

With turnover expected to increase by around 20% this year and plans for further depot openings in 2019 everything is looking very positive for the future of FPH Fairfax and their motto of “as seen everywhere”.
