Flannery Plant Hire (OVAL) Ltd are delighted to reveal two spotty machines, specially branded for BBC Children in Need.
The JCB telehandler and a mini excavator have been created to help the hirer’s fundraising program for the charity this year. The machines’ first task has been supporting a huge team of volunteers to complete the conversion of a rundown church hall. The building, originally built in the early 1800s, has been transformed into accommodation and a support centre for Nightsafe: a Blackburn charity which provides support to young people aged 16 to 24 who are homeless or vulnerably housed. The show will air this November during BBC Children in Need Appeal week.
Patrick Flannery, Flannery Plant Hire Managing Director, explains “This year we have decided to focus our company-wide fundraising efforts on BBC Children in Need. Our spotty digger and telehandler have been on-site in Blackburn for just over three weeks. It has been a fantastic team effort and the amount of work completed is phenomenal. As a company we are very proud to support this cause and are very grateful to our suppliers, including JCB, for supporting this initiative.”
The spotty machines are now available to hire with all of the rental charge being donated to the charity. As well as going out on customer sites the machines will be used at fundraising events to raise more money in aid of BBC Children in Need (a registered charity no. 802052 in England and Wales and SC039557 in Scotland) and all of the proceeds from the event/activity will be donated to the charity.
Other than the machines doing their bit, Flannery employees are also taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge in late September, the Thames Bridge Trek in October and have several bake sales planned to help reach their ultimate fundraising target of £20,000.
