GAP at Hillhead 2018

GAP Hire Solutions will be showcasing its range of hire equipment at Hillhead 2018 in June.

Held in a limestone quarry, Hillhead has become the must-attend event for quarry operators and other users of heavy plant and equipment. Approximately 20,000 visitors from across the world will come to meet suppliers and see the latest products and services on offer.

GAP was established in 1969, initially specialising in the hire of heavy plant machinery from a single depot in Glasgow. Nearly 50 years later, the company is still family owned and operated but has grown to eight specialist divisions and over 140 locations throughout the UK.

As was the case at Hillhead 2016, GAP’s friendly and enthusiastic team will be positioned on stand B3. The products on display will include a 9-tonne dumper, HAMM 138 roller and Kubota KX080-4a, which is the cleanest emission excavator in Kubota’s 8-tonne class. GAP holds the largest fleet of Kubota excavators available for hire in Europe.

GAP’s stand will also feature a 16ft Autosmart Eco Welfare Unit from the Green Apple Award winning manufacturer AJC Easycabin. The welfare unit incorporates numerous environmentally friendly features to reduce emissions, maintenance, fuel consumption, generator hours and noise pollution. GAP is the exclusive hire provider of the Autosmart Eco Welfare Unit in the UK.

Other products being demonstrated will include satellite solutions from GAP’s supplier Clarus. The Satellite Broadband and 4G Routers keeps customers constantly connected on site regardless of where they are situated in the UK. GAP’s X ECO Lighting Towers from the manufacturer Trime are innovative, versatile and compact machines – suitable for multiple uses across the quarrying, construction and recycling industries. GAP will also be displaying a selection of equipment from their Survey & Safety and Lifting Hire & Sales divisions.

“At GAP, we understand the power and value of innovation. Our Innovations team keeps up to date with new equipment and advances in technology to ensure that we can satisfy client demands for better efficiency. We’re really excited to showcase our diverse and ever-expanding fleet of products at Hillhead 2018. Meeting people, talking face-to-face and seeing products in the flesh cannot be beaten.”
