As part of its ongoing relationship with leading building supplies company Brandon Hire Station, Isuzu Truck UK has supplied a further four new 7.5 tonne rigid trucks that are now in-service working throughout Wales and the South West.
The four trucks are the first new fleet additions to be liveried in a specially commissioned blue and silver design that recognises the new Brandon Hire Station branding that has resulted from the takeover of Brandon Hire by VP plc Hire Station.
“We have an ongoing investment programme within our fleet and these four new Isuzus, resplendent in their new distinctive livery, give us the functionality and reliability we require from our delivery and collection vehicles. We have operated Isuzu trucks in the fleet for many years and we have found them to be extremely robust and give us excellent long-term reliable service,” said Mark Moody, director, Dot Com – Brandon Hire Station
Three of the new Isuzu N75.190 rigids are specified with the Easyshift automatic transmission and are being used as toilet servicing tankers. Each one features a Buckingham 750 gallon (usable), twin compartment, non-hazardous tanker body and are involved in the collection of slurry and sewage within the expanding Brandon toilet hire events operation. The addition of these three tankers follows on from two similar specification Isuzu tankers supplied to Brandon Hire Station just over 18 months ago.
The fourth and final vehicle in this new vehicle programme is also an Isuzu 7.5 tonne rigid with the Easyshift automatic transmission, however this Isuzu has a beavertail body as standard. Brandon Hire Station are using this vehicle for the transportation of larger equipment, such as diggers, as well as bulky items including fencing panels, and it is currently based out of the company’s Bristol depot.
“The Isuzu 7.5 tonne chassis cab has been the mainstay of many companies in the building and construction industry for such a long time now with its proven attributes of reliability and class leading payload. The relationship we have with Brandon Hire Station mirrors this success, also going back many years and the long term performance of our 7.5 tonne trucks has led to Isuzu being a major part of their latest fleet upgrade programme,” said Lee Barwick, fleet sales manager, Isuzu Truck UK.
