On 4th April, Scottish based Plant Hire Company, Morris Leslie Plant Hire announced the acquisition of long established hire firm, Harborough Hire Centre based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
The sale, which was concluded on Friday, 31st of March for an undisclosed sum, see’s Morris Leslie Plant Hire increase their UK wide depot network to 15, providing plant hire services from the highlands of Scotland to the south coast of England. The purchase increases Morris Leslie Plant Hires already extensive plant hire fleet by over 300 machines.
Graham Ogilvie, Managing Director for Morris Leslie Plant Hire commented ‘We are delighted to have concluded the purchase of the long established and well respected hire business which has been built up and grown by John and team at Harborough Hire Centre. This strategic purchase will allow us to expand our offering in the Leicestershire and East Midlands area.’
The sale sees all of Harborough Hire Centre staff being retained and joining the Morris Leslie Plant Hire business. Graham added ‘While the name may be changing, Harborough Hire customers can be sure that they will continue to receive the same first class service from the same great team!’
This announcement comes just 2 weeks after the news of Morris Leslie Plant Hire’s record breaking JCB order for almost £90 million to support their 2023 growth plans.
