Established over 65 years ago, the RoSPA Awards proudly continue to recognise, honour, and celebrate the people, organisations, and projects that help shape the future of health and safety excellence. With nearly 2000 entries, 45 categories, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners and one overall Sir George Earle Trophy champion, it is one of the most prestigious schemes in the world.
Sarens’ UK division is pleased to announce that they won the gold award at the RoSPA Health and Safety Award 2021 held in a virtual awards ceremony last month.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director stated, “RoSPA is very proud of the achievements of its entrants, and with this award we recognise the organisations that have gone the extra mile raising the bar for the delivery of safety in the workplace.”
Safety is paramount for Sarens, as they aim to provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors. Its SHEQ policy is aligned with the Sarens mission and values, where ‘Dedication to Safety’ means ensuring that harm is not inflicted upon employees, contractors, service providers, or the environment. Further, Sarens places value on protecting its assets and all operational activities within the scope of heavy lifting, special transport, assembly, disassembly and maintenance in industry, and infrastructure.
Sarens operates in the UK under the Sarens certified SHEQ Management system. Its comprehensive quality system ensures that we can deliver all project deliverables with a high level of efficiency and quality and in line with all applicable legislative requirements.
Sarens SHEQ Manager in the UK, David Berry congratulated all members of the Sarens UK division, stating, “The RoSPA Gold Award allows us a platform to demonstrate our total commitment to health and safety. It gives us a clear indication of our safety focus and sets the benchmark for moving forward and actively demonstrates not only to ourselves but also our clients that we strive for world-class standards and to be market leaders.”
