In recognition of a supplier relationship with Speedy that has spanned almost 40 years, Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd has been awarded a Special Relationship Award at the Speedy Expo, Speedy’s annual event for suppliers, clients and Speedy decision makers, which this year was hosted at the new Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd first supplied construction equipment and parts to Speedy back in 1977 when John Brown, the original founder of Speedy, opened the company’s first hire outlet in Wigan, Greater Manchester, when it was known as Livesey Hire.
Seddons Plant’s head office is based nearby in Bolton and the supplier partnership has developed from strength to strength over the past 39 years, culminating in the Special Relationship Award which was awarded by Speedy Chief Executive Russell Down to Stephen Seddon, Managing Director of Seddons Plant and Engineers and Pete McMutrie, National Account Manager of Seddons Plant and Engineers, at the Speedy Expo Awards.
The Special Relationship Award is a new award that is similar to a Lifetime Recognition Award, celebrating the long-term relationship built up over the years. At the Speedy Expo Awards, it was announced that Seddons’ long-term partnership with Speedy is based on a great working relationship built on quality, reliability, technical knowledge and expertise, and an unrivalled service.
Upon receiving the award, Stephen Seddon, Managing Director of Seddons Plant & Engineers said: “We have developed an excellent relationship with Speedy over the years and we are very proud to receive this award which recognises the high level of service we provide.
We supply replacement parts to the Speedy depot network, supporting many of the major brands of equipment that Speedy supply, and we also provide Speedy with a range of environmental products that are sold and used within their depots and workshops.”
