Sunbelt Rentals has secured a new three-year contract with world leading design, engineering and project management consultants Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group.
Following a rigorous tender process, Sunbelt Rentals was announced as Atkins’ new strategic supplier. The contract is worth up to £1 million per annum for three-years with an option to extend for a further two years. Under the agreement Sunbelt Rentals will supply plant, tools and equipment including safety and communications, survey, lifting and welfare at Akins’ projects across England and Scotland.
Sunbelt Rentals has invested £300m in the last three years in new assets and specialist acquisitions, ensuring it leads the industry in site safety, sustainability and productivity for partners and clients across all market sectors. Recognised for their outstanding health and safety Sunbelt Rentals was recently awarded their ninth consecutive RoSPA Gold Award last month.
Speaking about the agreement Atkins Procurement Director Nigel Hempsall said: “Atkins decision to partner with Sunbelt Rentals was based on a number of factors. The depth and breadth of their service offering was formidable, whilst their understanding of how they could support the business in improving our health and safety performance was exceptional. Overall Sunbelt Rentals is going to help us to improve our on-site efficiency by introducing new technology and innovations.
