Sunbelt Rentals the FTSE100 market leading UK rental business, announces that its new 60,000 sq. ft. equipment hub is now open near to Heathrow Airport.
As a result, 25 new local jobs have been created, a number which is set to rise to over 50 as operations expand throughout 2021.
Investment in the refurbished facility topped £3million, making it Sunbelt’s largest UK specialist depot. It is home to a wide range of specialist businesses’ including Rail, Safety & Communications, Test & Calibration, Climate Control and Survey.
Located on the A30, one of London’s main arterial roads, it is less than ten minutes from Heathrow Airport and perfectly placed to service London and the Home Counties. The hub will initially be operational from 06:00 hours – 18:00 hours each day, and will soon operate on a 24/7 basis once fully staffed and operational.
The hub has been purposely designed and built to meet the exacting standards required to support a specialist rental fleet. This includes professional cleaning and sterilising equipment, two railway test and training tracks and three large calibration workshops, each equipped with the latest specialist testing equipment.
New to the facility is a state-of-the-art training academy which will offer a full range of training courses and practical scenarios for specialist products. The hub boasts plenty of parking for delegates and is just a few minutes’ drive from the M25.
Managing Director Jonathan Newport said: “Our specialist London hub is paramount to our operations in the South. Our experienced and highly trained expert people will be on-hand to serve a variety of critical infrastructure customers from those in Rail, to Utilities, Construction, Civil Engineering and Facilities Management.
“The hub is one-of-a-kind and ensures each dedicated specialism has its own facility, each equipped with the latest and most exacting equipment testing rigs. By having our expert team in the same location, they can collaborate and be truly responsive to deliver an exceptional level of customer service.”
