A custom-liveried Terex TA3 site dumper is being toured across the UK, as part of a charitable initiative organised by Somerset-based construction equipment dealer – Kellands Plant Sales.
The eye-catching unit, sprayed pink to support Cancer Research UK, aims to raise thousands of pounds via a charity tour of the region’s leading trade events and exhibitions. Having visited the Royal Bath and West Show in May, the Royal Cornwall Show in June, and the Bridgwater Half Marathon in September, the site dumper is still touring the country raising money for this incredibly worthwhile cause.
Through collections at each stop and personal donations throughout the tour, the Kellands team aims to raise vital funds to support the charity’s ongoing research, treatment and patient support activities. Information and advice brochures will also be given out, informing the public about early warning signs and possible treatments available.
Commenting on the initiative, Mark Payne, Sales Director at Kellands Plant Sales , said: “With so many people affected by cancer every year, supporting world-class research, diagnosis and treatment is vital. “When discussing possible ideas to generate awareness within the construction industry, touring the UK with a pink site dumper seemed the perfect idea! As well as inspiring curiosity, the eye-catching colour scheme is instantly recognisable.”
Gregg Horne, General Manager at Terex Construction’s Coventry Facility, said: “When Kellands asked for our support with their tour, we were delighted to help out. As well as being one of our three corporate charities for 2016, Cancer Research UK is a fantastic organisation – close to the hearts of many of our staff.
“We hope individuals and businesses from across the construction industry will support the tour and help to raise a considerable amount for charity.”
