Within weeks of an order confirmed at Vertikal Days, on 16th June, Essex-based Cannon Access Ltd. marked a premier with the delivery of six new electric Genie® GS™-1330m scissor lifts, making it the first rental company in the UK to own the brand’s latest quiet and totally emission-free model designed to meet the needs of space- and weight-restricted working-at-height applications.
Tom Cannon, Director, Cannon Access Ltd., says: “We decided to pre-order a batch of Genie GS-1330m scissor lifts the second we saw the model announcement.” He continues: “For years, the industry standard has been to use 6-m (19 ft) scissor lifts, even if the customer is only working at half that height. And whilst this is not an issue, it is great to see a leading manufacturer producing a smaller conventional machine that will fill in the gap at the small end of the scissor lift market. Weighing less than 900 kg (1,984 lb), this model’s compact footprint will also ease transport costs. We are delighted to be able to extend our range of Genie scissor lifts with this purchase that joins a pair of new Genie Z®-45/25 RT rough terrain boom lifts delivered this spring.”
About the new Genie GS-1330m Electric Scissor Lift
Launched at Bauma in Munich in April, the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is an emissions-free, compact, lightweight, robust model that is particularly well suited to the needs of facilities management tasks. Offering a maximum platform height of 3.9 m (12 ft 8 in), a maximum working height of 5.9 m (18 ft 8 in) and weighting just 885 kg (1,950 lb), the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift combines a lift capacity of up to 227 kg (500 lb) to take two people on the platform with the benefits of a power-efficient e-drive system, delivering industry-leading runtime for full-day productivity.
Drive enabled at full height and in stowed position, in addition to the ability to climb up to 25% graded slopes, the compact dimensions of the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift make for exceptional jobsite accessibility and transportability. Measuring just 1.4 m (4 ft 7 in) long and 0.78 m (30 ft 5 in) wide and weighing less than the service elevator capacity limitation of 1,000 kg (2,205 lb), the Genie GS-1330m scissor lift is able to access jobsites previously off limits to heavier slab scissors and vertical masts.
This new “micro-sized” machine also incorporates the Genie Smart Link™ control system, which simplifies troubleshooting with easy-to-read and user-friendly onboard machine adjustments and diagnostics. The Genie Smart Link control system is compatible with the Genie Tech Pro™ Link handheld diagnostics tool. The Genie Tech Pro Link tool is a handheld diagnostics device that allows users access to real-time data, calibration or fault code information and gauges. It also allows to make settings adjustments, such as speed and so much more — all from the palm of the hand. Described by operators as being easier to use than other similar tools, this new device combines smart, simple features with an integrated flashlight and a magnetic attachment for easy, hands-free operation. For Genie scissor lifts, this means the ability to stand upright while using the Genie Smart Link diagnostics control system at ground level.
