Utranazz, The Concrete Equipment Specialist, has supplied Devon-based Notts Contractors with a new, state-of-the-art concrete batching plant. The Mobile 100S5 Wet/Dry plant is fitted with 5 separate aggregate bins and has a maximum output of 100m3 per hour. The highly versatile nature of the plant allows it to either be operated in dry-mode for lean mixes, or wet-mode for screeds and concrete.
Notts existing 40m3/hour, dry-plant was 15 years old. They needed a larger output plant that would allow them to provide concrete collections and keep up with increased demand for their in-house concrete delivery service. They also wanted a plant that was flexible enough to enable them to supply traditional and liquid screeds as well as concrete.
The Mobile 100S5 is partially galvanised, to ensure longevity, and is fitted with moisture measurement probes. It has two separate conveyor belts to enable faster batching. One belt weighs the aggregates whilst the other belt simultaneously feeds the single-shaft mixer, allowing for precise measurement and continual loading whilst batching. The mixer is also fitted with a high-pressure, automatic washdown system for easy cleaning and maintenance.
John Andrews, Manager of Notts Contractors, said: “We wanted to upgrade our existing dry plant to a larger output wet plant, but we also wanted a plant that would be flexible enough to produce wet and dry mixes and screeds as well as concrete. The Mobile 100S5 was perfect as it met all of our demands and, crucially, was great value for money!”
