A leading British supplier of containers based in Southampton has announced impressive growth figures.
Willbox, the container hire and sales arm of marine and logistics company Williams Shipping, has achieved the milestone of having 2,000 units out for hire at a single time – a record high.
The company’s success has been built on its unique approach to container hire, offering units that come in all shapes, sizes and colours, as well as being able to deliver containers quickly with its own fleet of dedicated crane vehicles.
Willbox’s forward-thinking approach has seen growth in its hires department from having 1,000 units out on hire simultaneously in 2012, to over 2,000 for the first time this year.
The company has seen a consistent rise over the past five years with an increase of 200-300 units per year, resulting in a recruitment drive to meet the demand.
The company hires out container units for a wide range of domestic and commercial uses, including onsite storage and site accommodation. Its versatile container types include offshore, flat pack and ISO tanks, as well as refrigerated containers.
Willbox has recently caught the eye of large-scale events such as Glastonbury and Boomtown Fair, as well as public sector organisations who have called upon Willbox for their bespoke container conversion expertise.
Chris Williams, director at Willbox, said: “We’re really proud to see this level of growth in the business. The container hires have been going from strength to strength and show no signs of stopping, as more and more businesses and domestic customers realise how the wide range of containers can work for them and save money. We’re continuing to aim for a yearly growth of 250 units and we look forward to reaching our next milestone of 3,000 in the coming years.
“In addition, as the company has grown, we’ve been able to grow our team and taken on 3 new people across our depots in Southampton and Pembroke.
“At Willbox we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service, and our sales division has also grown year-on-year. We also offer services such as container repair and maintenance, stacking and brokerage to our customers, which means we can provide support from beginning to end.”
