Develon has unveiled its replacement for the DX140LC-7 – the DX140LC-7K – a 14.6-tonne crawler excavator with the same performance and working range but improved safety, convenience, and a superior operator experience, especially regarding maintenance.

Develon has improved serviceability with easy access to the DEF tank and the fuel refilling hose, alongside safer access to the engine compartment via new anti-slip steps and handrails. The engine cover design has been flattened, reducing the maximum height of cover components on the back of the machine, providing improved visibility for the operator.

Modifications inside the engine compartment, including the repositioning of the Power take-off (PTO) for the rotation pump, have facilitated a new lower engine cover. Holding valves from the main valve, which are not required in the EU, have been removed, reducing pressure losses and heat in the system.

The new excavator incorporates a smart hydraulic system that improves attachment work efficiency by approximately 30%. This system ensures optimal hydraulic flow distribution when both the arm and attachment are working simultaneously.

Powered by a D34 4-cylinder Stage V diesel engine, the DX140LC-7K pairs the engine’s performance with a hydraulic main valve and the SPC3 Smart Power Controls for fuel saving. It also features a Tiltrotator Mode that optimizes hydraulic flow, maximizing accuracy by eliminating back pressure.

Within the operator’s cab, there’s a new state-of-the-art dashboard monitor and an electronic two-way pedal, a DAB audio system, keyless start, and an optional air suspension seat with heating and cooling function.

The DX140LC-7K comes with Develon’s state-of-the-art Telematics Management System, which is a web-based fleet management solution that aids in monitoring machine performance, security, and preventative maintenance.
