“SafetyZone” a digital health and safety software platform providing actionable data and insight to help organisations in construction and industrial sectors to better manage health and safety.
GKD Technologies announce the first phase of its cloud-based, connected health and safety platform, which will empower organisations working in the construction, infrastructure and other heavy or industrial sectors to make practical data driven decisions around improving safety in the workplace.
With a best-in-class approach, “SafetyZone” brings together leading health and safety technologies and products to provide unique safety insights, making it the first of its kind in the industry. This initial phase sees the integration of “SensorZone (SiteZone in the UK)”, a leading proximity warning system for Pedestrian Plant Interface, which will be followed by data from GKD’s industry leading, Network Rail Approved Rated Capacity Indicators (RCIs) and Height and Slew Restrictors. With a roadmap for 2022 which enables “SafetyZone” to build a specialist ecosystem of other connected safety solutions.
“First and foremost, we want to create a safe working environment and to protect people from harm,” said David Perez, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of GKD Technologies. “Our ambition for “SafetyZone” is to support our customers to fulfil their health and safety goals by giving them the visibility and insights to measure and track safety performance over time. Research shows that businesses with positive safety cultures have improved levels of engagement and high levels of productivity, making the benefits of implementing a solution like ours far reaching.”
“SafetyZone” software is built around a secure, open, and flexible cloud-based platform capable of handling and ingesting large volumes of data from multiple sources; this data is then aggregated and correlated to provide users with a view of safety that covers multiple dimensions and gives context to operational metrics, something that is often absent from traditional health and safety dashboards.
The launch of “SafetyZone” will build on GKD Technologies enviable track record for improving safety in the workplace, using innovative technology that promotes engagement, adoption, and behavioural safety change amongst workforces. This first phase of “SafetyZone” helps to identify incursions by pedestrians into unsafe areas of mobile plant and equipment, areas of high risk onsite, near miss and machine issue or incidents. It enables users to proactively manage health and safety risk and run reports for use with wider stakeholder groups. Realtime alerts are planned for the next quarter giving complete visibility to organisations and providing more opportunities to drive behavioural change.
