Renault PRO+ has announced the addition of an enhanced off-the-shelf Master Dropside option to the commercial vehicle range, offering greater versatility and options to van customers than ever before.
The new Master Dropside expands the comprehensive offer of Master Conversions available on top of existing Tipper, Luton Box Van and Luton Low Loader conversions, as well as the regular Master Crew Van, Panel Van and electric Master Z.E.. Platform and Chassis Cab versions of the Master and Master Z.E. are also available for more bespoke conversions.
The new Master Dropside is designed for customers needing to easily load and unload bulky items to and from the load area, with 400mm high aluminium side panels on each side of the vehicle, making it the ideal companion for use in grounds maintenance, timber merchants, building supplies and scaffolding companies, and many more.
The new off-the-shelf conversion from partner VFS comes as standard with rear corner pillars to allow a wider range of customers to take advantage of the more practical setup. The rear corner pillars allow customers to fit a side restraint system for personnel working in the load area of the vehicle, or easily fit a tail lift if required, or a version with a tail lift can be ordered directly from new.
The new Master Dropside Conversion completes a full range of conversions available for the Master off the shelf, responding to increasing demands from businesses and ensuring Renault PRO+ is a one-stop shop for commercial vehicle buyers with a simple range that meets a broad range of customer needs.
Based on the Master Chassis Cab – like Master Tipper and Luton Box Vans, the Dropside is available to customers directly through the Renault dealer network and benefits from full manufacturer warranty over three years and 100,000 miles.
A total of three load lengths are available to customers: Medium (ML), Long (LL) and extra long (LLL) wheelbases with a crew cab option also available for those looking for extra passenger accommodation. Up to 4,300mm of load length is available on Master Dropside, and it’ll carry up to 1,664kg payload.
All Master Dropside commercials feature rear corner pillars as standard, expanding the vehicle’s versatility to a new level, with a foldaway step on the rear side panel and up to eight anchoring points in the load area (depending on the length).
A hot-galvanised steel front side panel and platform, plus anti-slip wooden floor is standard on all versions, with a steel cab protecting grid with an object rack perfect for long items such as ladders.
A comprehensive range of strong and efficient diesel engines are available across the Master range, including dCi 130, dCi 135, ENERGY dCi 145 and ENERGY dCi 150 powertrains, with a choice of FWD or RWD. Twin-wheel RWD versions are available giving optimised traction for heavier loads or towing.
A tail lift can be specified on both Master Dropside and Master Luton Box Van, the latter of which is now available in a total of four versions. Specifications of the tail lift conversions are:
Master Dropside Tail Lift:
- Del 500kg mesh platform tail lift
- 915mm platform with fixed leading edge
Master Luton Box Van Tail Lift:
- Del 500kg column tail lift
- 815mm alloy platform with fixed leading edge
- One-two button external control
The full selection of Master Conversions gives buyers complete peace of mind that their vehicle is covered by the regular PRO+ vehicle warranty, with the vehicle arriving fully converted by industry-leading converters following a simple ordering process from a main Renault dealer.
A selection of offers are available across the Master and Master Conversion range, including the new Master Dropside on Renault’s Fleet Rate+ programme.
