AMI Group specialises in tracking devices which utilise advanced GPS (Global Positioning System), GSM (Global System for Mobile Frequency) and RF (Radio Frequency) technology, for the construction and plant sectors to help recover stolen plant machinery. The company has been shortlisted for the London Construction Award for its Asset+ integrated tracking system.
“Designed for the tracking and monitoring of a wide range of construction plant such as dumpers, excavators, generators and rollers, Asset+ uniquely combines two tracking systems in one, comprising a self-contained, covertly installed GPS wireless system combined with a wired-in GPS fleet management system. With an industry-leading 20-year battery life, Asset+ can be used to rapidly track, trace and recover equipment in the unfortunate event of it being stolen, whilst providing a wealth of information about machine usage and status.”
Peter Stockton, Operations Director at AMI Group said: “Technological innovation keeps us at the forefront of our sector so we are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for the Product Innovation of the Year Award, especially as there are a huge number of products and materials available to those working in the London construction industry.
“Not only does Asset+ offer our customers the assurance that stolen plant will most certainly be recovered if it is stolen, it also allows for more accurate billing and improves efficiency on-site. Some of our customers have reported hire revenue increases of up to 20% thanks to our plant tracking facility. As well as live tracking, a wide range of other features are available including geo fencing, immobilisation of assets, review of journeys traveled and speed driven and scheduled reports such as engine working hours,” he continued.
