Advanced Access Platforms, the UK’s premier independent access rental firm, has significantly expanded its fleet with a £2 million investment in JCB equipment.
This extensive acquisition includes 100 JCB electric scissor lifts, JCB 555-260R rotating telehandlers, and various models of JCB Loadall telescopic handlers, all supplied by Greenshields JCB. This addition bolsters their product lineup, which already features 80 JCB scissor lifts.
The JCB electric scissor lifts, models S1930E, S2632E, and S3246E, ranging from 19 to 32 feet, have been integrated into the Advanced Access Platforms’ fleet. John Corcoran, director of Advanced Access Platforms, emphasized their suitability for the company’s diverse customer base, spanning commercial, industrial, and media sectors. “The JCB electric scissor lifts fit perfectly into our powered access portfolio. They are consistent, easy to use and easy to service,” Corcoran said. He stressed that these machines match the company’s ‘Advanced Eco’ promise, focusing on supplying electric and hybrid machines as standard.
Corcoran chose the JCB 555-260R rotating telehandlers and Loadall telescopic handler models because he was sure that their quality and performance would be up to the standards of the other JCB plant the company had employed.
“JCB telescopic handlers are the best in the business, so we knew the rotating telehandler models would be first class too,” he remarked.
“At first we bought them specifically for our clients in the TV and film industries, but then our industrial customers have learned about this investment and now they want to hire these fantastic products too.”
Initially acquired for clients in the TV and film industries, these machines have also garnered interest from industrial customers. Corcoran said there is regular repeat business due to their performance and reliability but points out that timely support from the dealer was an important element in committing to the £2 million investment.
