KKB Group Choose Komatsu

KKB Group recently made the decision to expand its fleet of Komatsu machines

The company, based in Rochester, Kent, provide solutions across sectors which include plant hire, remediation, recycling, specialist demolition hire and civil engineering and already have a fleet of 37 Komatsu machines, which includes excavators ranging from 20 – 50 tons, a range of wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks.

The latest machines to join the fleet include the HB365LC-3 and PC210LCi-11 excavators. CEO, Colin Basi, made the decision to invest in the PC210LCi-11 intelligent machine for KKB Group after recognising a change within the sector. Customers want to decrease overheads by reducing the inherent risk of personnel working around machinery, yet increasing productivity and reducing re-works and the PC210LCi-11 achieves all of this for its customers.

KKB Group aim to continuously invest in the latest fuel-efficient machinery, and once again, Colin Basi saw the benefits of Komatsu’s Hybrids at achieving a significant reduction in fuel which resulted in purchasing the HB365LC-3 40-ton excavator. This machine can save up to 20 litres of fuel per hour, has ultra-low noise levels compared to standard excavators and will reduce the companies environmental impact.

KKB Group will be receiving a further 17 machines this month and 9 early next year. These new additions to the business is the extensive investment of their plant services department which is headed up by Sales Director, Nick Earl. Nick’s aim is to drive the business forward in their plant hire services, and perhaps more strongly within specialist demolition plant hire as their order consists of 15 PC138US-11 13-ton excavators. This model of Komatsu excavator has a zero-tail swing making it ideal for work in confined areas.
