Genquip Groundhog are awarded Considerate Constructors and UVDB Achilles

Recognising the fact that they play an important role in supplying the construction markets with modern, sustainable welfare facilities, Genquip Groundhog have confirmed their status within the industry, by successfully achieving both Considerate Constructors Supplier status and UVDB Achilles registration.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

Explaining their decision to join up with both of these schemes, Peter Beach, Genquip’s sales and marketing manager said, “We are really proud of our 31 year history of manufacturing and supplying Groundhog welfare units, and in particular, to the construction rental markets. We are delighted to have been awarded an outstanding 4.5 stars as a Considerate Construction Supplier and gaining qualification within UVDB Achilles.”

“We were thoroughly monitored throughout the process by representatives from the Considerate Constructors Scheme as we demonstrated our firm commitment to work within their codes of practice,” added Peter.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme recognises the valuable and vital contribution made by companies supplying goods and materials to sites. Suppliers perform a vital role in the construction process, and equally, they have a responsibility to behave in a considerate manner at all times to ensure they portray a positive image of the industry they represent.

UVDB Achilles is the utility industry pre-qualification system used by the utilities sector in the UK to manage risk within the supply chain and comply with EU regulations. Genquip Groundhog had to complete pre-qualification questionnaire in order to become registered.

Genquip Groundhog is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of mobile and static welfare accommodation units, producing a wide range of environmentally weighted products used widely throughout the event, rail and construction markets. Their manufacturing facilities are based in Neath, South Wales. Continuous product development is ongoing and bespoke models can be produced for specific requirements. They offer nationwide support and a dedicated spare parts department.
