Hall Bros. Returns to Liebherr for Newest Crane

Hall Bros. is a long established, family-run business that provides a range of services including crane hire, fuel distribution and plumbing and heating services. The company has recently returned to Liebherr for a new LTM 1040-2.1 mobile crane, which has now been delivered.

The LTM 1040-2.1 is a compact two-axle crane with both axles driven and steerable ensuring excellent all-terrain capability and manoeuvrability on even the most confined building sites. The new Hall Bros. crane also has VarioBase, which will further enhance the machine’s usefulness as this unique system is particularly effective for lifting operations in locations where space is restricted.

With a maximum load capacity of 40 tonnes, the LTM 1040-2.1 offers outstanding load carrying performance over the entire operating area. The 35 m long, continuously variable four-section telescopic boom uses the proven hydro-mechanical telescoping system to extend to the required length quickly and the telescoping operation can also be performed under load.

Howard Hall said: ‘Aside from the quality of the Liebherr products that we have become accustomed to over a number of years now, we were keen to have another machine with VarioBase®. We first experienced this system on a new LTM 1060-3.1 a couple of years ago and the benefits it brings to an already great machine are outstanding.’
