Jaama’s “MyVehicle App” Wins Best App at Fleet Technology Awards

Jaama’s industry-leading ‘MyVehicle App’ has won the Best App Award in this year’s fleet industry ‘Techies’ – the annual awards that recognise the fleet industry’s technology-specific products and services across all areas of the fleet market.

In the ever-changing industry, Jaama continually assess the market place to ensure that it stays ahead of the game, which has led to a major expansion in ‘MyVehicle App’ functionality in 2018 with developments around defect management, driver compliance and accident management designed to reduce administration following its initial launch last year.

It was critical for Jaama to go a significant step further and drive fleet operating efficiencies and compliance by developing and launching an app whereby drivers provided information that drove data back into the fleet system triggering necessary processes such as service, maintenance and repair procedures.

The Fleet Technology Awards – known in the industry as the ‘Techies’ – are in their 10th year and are organised by trade publication BusinessCar. The magazine’s editor, Simon Harris, said that ‘MyVehicle App’ won “in a crowded category of interesting and useful apps”.

He continued: “Enhancements to ‘MyVehicle App’ in 2018 have seen the scope of the app expand, making it more useful and sophisticated, and undoubtedly increasing its appeal as a record of vehicle defects and alerts for fleet operators to ensure their vehicles are well maintained, as well as engaging the driver in the process. ‘MyVehicle App’ stood out among a varied range of apps available to fleets and company car drivers.”

Martin Evans, managing director of Jaama, said: “We are delighted that the Awards’ judges recognised that ‘MyVehicle App’ is industry-leading as it delivers new levels of efficiency to fleets as no other app provides the level of integration with a software system, while also helping employers meet their driver and vehicle compliance requirements.

“Tools that enable drivers’ to ‘self-service’ are becoming an essential requirement for fleet operators, and save significant back office manual intervention. ‘MyVehicle App’, via auto-triggering, works in tandem with Key2 so drivers and their fleet managers have all the very latest data at their fingertips to keep businesses at the cutting-edge of operational management.”

‘MyVehicle App’ is available from the App Store and deployable to Android and iOS devices.
