Two brand new JCB machines will be shown for the first time at the Executive Hire Show 2019 – the CT260 roller and JCB 19C-1E electric mini excavator.
The 19C-1E is JCB’s first ever electric excavator – the quietest digger in its range and one delivering zero emissions. It will allow contractors to work inside buildings, in emissions-sensitive inner city environments and in tunnels or underground, without having to install costly exhaust extraction equipment.
It features three lithium-ion battery packs providing a 312Ah (15kWh) storage capacity while the convenient on-board charger with 230V/110V input gives 5-8-hour recharging capability. A standard load-sensing hydraulic system delivers powerful digging performance and the sophisticated battery management system ensures full-shift availability.
The brand new CT260 tandem roller has been designed to bring rental firms and operators a machine that is easier and more comfortable to use, safer to operate, simpler to service and cheaper to run. Delivering great productivity whether on aggregates or asphalt, it is ideal for road maintenance, groundworks, landscaping or sports facilities.
With a maximum operating weight of 2740kg and powered by a Tier 4 Final 18.5kW engine, it brings improved fuel economy without the need for a costly DPF or fuel additives. It features three simple, switchable vibration settings: for both drums, independent front and independent rear, with Automatic Vibration Control as standard. Also standard on the new model is the JCB LiveLink telematics system which offers machine location information, real time geofencing, curfew alerts and aids service planning.
Also featured on the stand will be a series of further models from JCB’s extensive range of equipment which has been specifically designed for the rental sector. These include: the 18Z-1 mini excavator, 1930E electric scissor lift, HTD5 Dumpster, 1-T1 site dumper, 403 compact wheeled loading shovel, 525-60 compact Loadall and a series of models from JCB’s generator, lighting tower, powerpack and light equipment line-ups.
