Britain’s leading plant, tool and equipment rental company has been recognised for its outstanding health and safety performance throughout 2018.
For the eighth consecutive year, A-Plant has been awarded Gold at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents‘ (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards.
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
To maintain its Gold Standard for an eighth year in a row, A-Plant’s health and safety management systems were put under rigorous scrutiny by RoSPA and Douglas McLuckie, A-Plant’s Director of Risk Management, said the result demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record.
He said: “We are extremely proud to have received the highest possible standard for the eighth consecutive year.
“Health and safety is of paramount importance at A-Plant and we are committed to continually setting new standards for our employers, partners and the industries in which we operate.
“We have an excellent track record for our health and safety performance from a wide range of industry bodies and have even introduced a number of company-wide health and safety initiatives to encourage employees to reflect on safe working practices and undertake extra safety training.
“Last year, our annual Safety Week shined a light on mental health in the workplace and the company’s Work Safe Home Safe campaign, continued to encourage teams to take personal responsibility for the way they work.”
A-Plant will be presented with the award during RoSPA’s Health and Safety Awards ceremony in Birmingham on 10th May 2019.
