Robust equipment sales continued on Bauma day four as Terex Cranes logged sales for some of its highest capacity Demag crawler and all terrain cranes. The day saw sales of three, 1,600 t (1,760 USt) Demag CC 8800-1 lattice boom crawler cranes and more than 20 AC 100-4L all terrain cranes.
Schiedam, Netherlands-based Van Schaften Leasing, increased the lifting capacity of its crawler crane fleet with the acquisition of two massive Demag® CC 8800-1 crawler cranes.
Integrated Holding Co. KSCP of Ahmadi, Kuwait, also added a CC 8800-1 crawler crane to its fleet used to provide heavy lifting services in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE (pictured above). The CC 8800-1 features a maximum load moment of 26,160 tonne-meters and a hook height reaching 231 m (757.9 ft). In addition to the CC 8800-1 order, Integrated Holding signed documents for two 650-t (715 USt) Demag® CC 3800-1 crawler cranes, offering a maximum boom length of 144 m (472 ft), as well as a 9-axle Demag® AC 700-9 all terrain crane. This versatile 700-t (800-USt) capacity class mobile crane features a 60-m (197-ft) main boom and a compact carrier, making it the perfect crane for all heavy-duty projects that require not just power, but also maneuverability.
Big Demag® AC 100-4L Investment
The day’s largest number of cranes purchased in a single order came from Mohammed F. S. Al-Tamimi, managing director for Fahad S. Al-Tamimi & Partners Company (FST), one of the leading crane and heavy equipment services business in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. FST ordered 21 Demag® AC 100-4L, 100-t (120-USt) capacity class all terrain cranes. This 4-axle model boasts an overall width of only 2.55 m (8.37 m), making the crane the most compact model of its class, so it can be used indoors as well as in densely populated urban environments. The AC 100-4L offers 81.7-m (268-ft) maximum system length, one of the biggest of all 4-axle units on the market.
Terex Tower and All Terrain Cranes
Recently appointed Terex crane equipment distributor for Poland, Rumia-based Corleonis, made a sizeable investment in its tower crane fleet. The distributor signed an agreement for two Terex® CTT 202-10 flat top tower cranes as well as one each of the CTT 132-6 and CTT 162-8 models. The cranes offer maximum jib lengths from 60 to 65 m (196.9 ft to 213 ft) and maximum capacities ranging from 6 to 10t (6.6 to 11 USt).
Peter Zauner and Wolfgang Hiebel, managing directors for Münchendorf, Austria’s XL-Kran Logistik GmbH, also worked with Terex sales representatives to acquire the 6-t (6.6-USt) capacity CTT 132-6 tower crane. In addition, they purchased three Terex® CTT 91-5 flat top tower cranes. This Terex model offers a maximum jib length of 50 m (164 ft), maximum capacity of 5 t (5.5 USt) and a capacity at maximum radius of up to 1.4t (1.5 USt).
To help deliver on its vision to be an industry leader of crane and rigging services in Victoria’s construction and industry sectors, Premier Cranes & Rigging representatives visited the Terex stand to purchase a Terex® AC 40/2L all terrain crane. Officials of the Sunshine West (Melbourne) company appreciate the 40-t (45-USt) capacity crane’s long, 37.4-m (122.7-ft) main boom, the longest in its category, and its maximum 47-m (154.2-ft) tip height. The all terrain crane’s fully hydraulic boom system provides short telescopic times and high load telescoping capabilities.
