Tools and equipment hire provider Speedy has been ranked among the largest suppliers of powered access rental equipment in the UK, following a £52 million investment programme since November 2017 to establish its nationwide offering.
The business placed second in the latest Cranes and Access annual league table of the top 30 UK providers, up from fourth place in 2018.
The success follows the acquisition of regional powered access firms Prolift, Platform Sales & Hire and Lifterz over the last two years, in addition to investing organically in its own fleet of scissor and boom lifts, which now totals more than 8,200.
The company says the investments were made to meet strong customer demand from across the UK for a one-stop shop for tool hire and powered access equipment.
